On the heels after the conclusions of the Trayvon Martin trial, Lil Wayne dropped the visuals for his highly anticipated video “God Bless Amerika” Monday. The patriotic video was shot in his hometown in Hollygrove, New Orleans and directed by Eif Rivera.
The video focuses on the people and the community who are still suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. While the video has a positive connotation, photos of Weezy on set leaked in June, fueling controversy as images of the Young Money Boss surfaced of him stepping on the American Flag. As his fans demanded answers, Lil Tunechi released a statement stating that it was all just a misunderstanding.
